This Privacy Policy explains how Jessica Lu, LCSW ("we," "us," "the practice") collects, uses, and protects personal information gathered through this website, our intake and contact forms, and our text messaging (SMS) communications.

Text Messaging (SMS) Program

If you provide your phone number and opt in, we may send you SMS messages related to appointment reminders, scheduling, and general informational updates about the practice.

SMS opt-in information and consent will never be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes, under any circumstances.

Jessica Lu Messaging Terms and Conditions

The messaging program consists of standard notifications about your relationship with our practice — such as appointment reminders and scheduling — as well as general conversational messaging to answer questions and provide support.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the phone number from which you received messages (714-716-2042). After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at therapy@jessica.lu.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary based on communication needs. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — including your phone number — with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes, even with your consent.

We do not transfer your personal data to external organizations, except:

Service providers who help us operate essential business functions (e.g., our phone/texting platform provider), solely to deliver the service, and bound by their own confidentiality and data protection obligations
Where required by law

Data Sharing

Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
